Who Needs to Participate in the DNA Test Process?

R U Daddy Inc. is nationwide and our Case Administrators lend a hand to walk moms and dads through a unique and innovative program to get the truth about family relationships.

Can a Test be Done if the Alleged Father is Missing or Deceased?

Yes. Paternity testing can still be performed, although the test will involve more analysis. If the alleged father is unavailable, testing involving grandparents is possible. In this situation, samples are collected from the alleged paternal grandparents and analysis is performed to determine if they are excluded from grandparentage. If not, the chance the alleged grandparents transmitted the genes to their son is calculated and used to determine the probability of paternity. If the alleged paternal grandparents are unavailable, testing can be performed on the alleged father's siblings or other offspring, although the evidence supporting the probability of paternity is not as strong.

What Kind of Samples Does R U Daddy Lab Need for Testing?

R U Daddy labs prefers to use a cheek swab sample for paternity testing since it is easy to obtain, completely non-invasive, painless, and is just as accurate as blood samples. Most biological samples are acceptable, including a tube of blood or drops of blood on a blood spot card.

What is the Difference Between Using a Blood Sample or a Buccal Swab Sample?

A buccal swab sample is just as accurate as using a blood sample for paternity testing. The advantage of a buccal swab sample is that it's non-invasive, painless, quick and easy. The easy procedure is equivalent to that of rubbing a Q-Tip inside of your mouth.

How Accurate are R U Daddy Labs Test Results?

If the DNA of the Alleged Father and Child matches, the probability that he is the biological father is typically over 99.999%. If there are mismatches between the DNA of the Alleged Father and Child, he is 100% excluded from being the biological father.

What if the Testing Parties Live in Different Cities?

IDENTIGENE will arrange for all parties' samples to be collected in their respective cities at no additional charge. All the samples will be coordinated as one case when they arrive at R U Daddy labs, before the paternity test begins.

Do I Need a Doctor's Order to Have a Test Performed?
